How are tingsha bells made and what is their frequency?

Tingsha bells are handmade by the casting method using 7 metals - Gold, mercury, copper, silver, iron, tin, and lead are seven metals. Every metal used for making the tingsha bell is connected to different planets and days. Gold is connected with Sun and Sunday, silver is connected with the moon and Monday, mercury is connected with Mercury and Tuesday, copper is connected with Venus and Wednesday, iron is connected with Mars and Thursday, tin is connected with Jupiter and Friday, and lead is connected with Saturn and Saturday. They produce strong sound, vibration, and frequency which range above 2000 Hertz/ above. Different tingsha bells are used to produce different sound frequencies for the healing method.

How does its frequency affect us?

Everything around us is vibration. The colors and sound around us vibrates at a certain frequency. When we hear music the sound frequencies in music heals our mind and body. The Tingsha bell produces strong sound with a frequency above 2000 Hertz. It brings us to an aware state and helps maintain peace and calmness to free from our disturbed mind. During meditation practice also it is played at the beginning or end session as cymbals sound penetrates or webbed thoughts and remove the build up stress from our daily life. The sound waves of Tingsha can soothe us.

If we use the tingsha bell according to our body frequency, it helps us in cleansing and healing. The tingsha bell frequency matches to our body frequency then it starts to affect us. we have to shift tingsha bell frequency to our body frequency, for that we have two practices:

Practice 1: Tuning Visualisation

If you are going through a time of worries and frustration then try this tuning visualisation. First close your eyes and imagine a central column of light running through the core of your body and at the top of your head, above the sky. Now visualize a knob of the feeling you want to change to and turn on the knob. Then, try to feel the quality of the frequency which was selected by you.

Practice 2: Move from your head to your heart

We mostly use the word “i’m stuck in my head”, all of our energy are stuck on our head When most of the people are working on a computer, sitting for a long and long hour. Not even thinking about our feet, we can perform this by closing our eyes and imagine that you are in an elevator and pressing the down button, the door closes slowly then you move downward. Imagine that you are moving downward through an elevator like taking the tingsha bell frequency from your head to throat, again it moves slowly to your heart. Then, hearing the sound “Ding”, when you reach to the heart. When your heart eyes open you feel different. After that, take a deep breath.

When are tingsha bells used?

  • We can use tingsha bells in the yoga class because it helps beginner students settle their mats, practice yoga/meditation, and learn breathing methods of inhaling and exhaling.
  • They are used during sound healing and meditation because it gives relief and helps to change our mental state.
  • It can be used in clearing space and Feng Shui because they are mostly used for clearing the auras and are said to fill space.
  • It is used for maintaining our body frequency to environment frequency for getting positive vibes after producing the echo of it which strikes within the hearts.

How to use the tingsha bells?

  • We can use it by holding its leather strings, maintaining the balance between two cymbals, and striking each other.
  • In the next method we can produce it by catching just above metallic disks and striking at each other.

How to practice the tingsha bell in the modern and ancient way?

We can practice the Tingsha in different ways. We should equalize the frequency produced by the tingsha bell and our body. The frequency produced by the traditional way and modern way are completely different.

Traditional ways:

In ancient times, people used to play the tingsha bell by holding it just above the metallic disks and striking slowly. You need to keep your attention to the sound and listen to it till the end. It takes a few minutes to match the frequency of the body then it makes your body relieved from stress. In ancient times people used Tingsha for handling their stressful time and problems. 

Modern ways:

There are lots of ways to play Tingsha bell and different dimensions are being tried out. One interesting dimension you can add, is to hit the cymbals together and spin it around you. This is a good way for space cleansing and healing. Most people are facing depression and mental health problems nowadays. Using the Tingsha bell as a sound healing helps people to come out from the problem.
